Setting Mount Sinai Apart from Other Grad Schools A School Within A Hospital

Adam Schaffner, a PhD candidate shares why he chose to attend the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Mount Sinai.
“What I think sets the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai apart from many other grad programs is that this is a hospital first. And because it’s a hospital you are waking around from lab to lab and you’re crossing paths with patients, doctors and you’re constantly reminded of what the end goal of your research is and that is to help people live, to increase the welfare of patients and to me that was very attractive and something I wanted to be a part of.”
